Uptown Rotary Assignments:
ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE WEEKLY EMAIL UPDATE.
DAY CHAIR: The duty of the day chair is to introduce the speaker to the club. This information will be sent to you prior to the meeting or given to you on that day. The introduction should last no longer than three minutes. Please be at the meeting by or before to host the speaker and assist the speaker with anything he may need. You should sit with the speaker at the front table where the president sits.
PLEDGE, INVOCATION and ROTARY MINUTE: Lead the Pledge of Allegience. Provide a non-denominational invocation to be respectful of the various beliefs of our members. The Rotary Minute can come from the Rotary magazine or some thought that you have that reinforces Rotary and the Four-Way Test.
VOCATIONALS: You are asked to talk for 3-5 minutes about yourself, your family, your company, and perhaps your industry so that each of us has a better sense of how we all fit together in the club.
GREETER, HAPPY BUCKS, and INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: Greeters should arrive by to greet guests and visiting Rotarians, as well as members. You are also responsible for introducing guests, visiting Rotarians during the meeting and collecting Happy Bucks.
